Sometime ago, my macbook pro start to behaving strangely in what concerns windows focus. The problem is described here.
I though it could be Virtue Desktops, and I made a search on MacRumors Forum, founding out that other people think it VD could cause the problem.

Last week, I erase my home thinking I was erasing my external HD (I was able to get my documents from the trash) because of this problem. I did not notice that although the external HD was selected, had lost it’s focus by it ’s own.

Do you have a similar problem? Are you using Virtue Desktops too?

  1. Yes, I had this same exact problem some time ago, and it happened in both of my macs, a MacPro and a MacBook Pro, so it’s not machine/hardware related. I never knew what it was really, but after a few updates and repairing permissions with Onyx it came back to normal.

  2. I had that problem with virtuedesktops 0.54 beta 4.
If you are not using beta 5 check it

  3. Thanks a lot, in fact I was using beta 4 :-)

  4. Where do I find the beta5 release? I couldn’t find it in the website. Also it looks like 0.54beta4 was the last relase.

  5. it is kind of hidden, you can get it (beta5)here

  6. Danke shön.
