As I said before, I am going to wait until I have some feedback from the Apple guys and then I will tell you how it went, but since I was able to test teh idea of Nuno of a Linux live cd I wanted to write three things about that (I am writing it as a post because I do not think I can insert a picture in the comments)

1 - (off-topic)This is an intel, allright :-P . If you want to test a Linux live cd you can choose the x86 architecture. Just press c button while your machine is rebooting.

2 - During the booting process of Ubuntu live cd I saw the strange dots, I was not able to test a DVD since my DVD drive is busy with the live cd, but I can not see the dots in my Ubuntu desktop now. I created a folder and an icon of an image, because in Mac OS X the dots usually apear close to the icons and I changed the colour of the background to a lighter one, but I can not see any dots in the desktop. I was able to play a ogg movie in Tontem that came with the live cd and it run perfectly, although I do not this add something new to the issue.

3 - (off-topic) I have an external drive formated as Mac OS X where I make my backups. Usual this drive - it connects by USB - takes a lot of time being recognized by Mac OS X, sometimes I even have to connect the energy cable, but here as soon as I plugged it, Ubuntu recognized it so fast that really surprised me, so I had to write this too :-)

  1. Ver esse grafismo do Ubuntu num MacBook… Blargh! Hehe, j/k :P

Bom, resumindo, se bem percebi, deve ser um problema de drivers no OS X, não?

  2. Não sei. Começo a achar que tenho mesmo um problema de hardware… :-(

Eu senti-me nostálgica com o grafismo do Ubuntu
