The ejabberd ebuild is in Portage right now, it builds and runs but is hardmasked because i have not been able to give it a test on my test server (it took some 3 hours just to build erlang).
Some work still needs to be done in the ebuild, we now have two jabber server implementations, it is time to get a virtual 
so that transports can choose.
