A few days ago r3pek got assigned as a new Gentoo Developer.
“But why is that news?”
Well it is news because he is Portuguese, and with that he becomes the third Portuguese to be a Gentoo developer (first was datashark but he retied and the second was…. me 
)
More news…. In the last weeks i got interested in a few programs and most of them are writen in Java(tm). Due to that i’ve been hanging alot in the #gentoo-java channel, there i’ve meet some very nice devs, (axxo and the dev in training Betelgeuse just to name two) that have helped me with the java eclasses.
The packages I’m working on are mercury (msn client), jrisk (Risk game) and NetLogo (agent based simulation).
Mercury is already in portage, the others you can find ebuilds in my semi-updated local/portage.
This and the work I’m having at school dont leave me alot of time to think about “the real life”, but i guess that is ok if one feels he his improving himself right?
